Can HHCA help me understand all of health care treatment options given to me by my health care delivery team?

Our Health Advocates are experienced health care professionals, committed to helping you get the answers you need. They are comfortable working in a hospital environment and will communicate directly with your health care delivery team on your behalf. They will ask all the right questions regarding your health care, to help you make informed decisions regarding your health treatment options.

Is HHCA allowed to access my medical records?

Access to your medical records will allow us to facilitate your health care process, review charges incurred in connection with health claims and they will provide us with the information we need to help you understand your health care process. In order for HHCA to access your medical records, known as Protected Health Information (PHI), you must sign an authorization form that we will provide to you. With this form we can approach your health care delivery team on your behalf and request access to your medical records.

Will HHCA keep my medical records safe?

HHCA will never share, distribute or duplicate your confidential medical information without your prior written consent. Your medical information will be stored in HIPAA approved computers and will remain secure within our system. We will only access your medical records as authorized by you in writing via the HIPAA authorization form, and we will only use your medical information to address your specific health care.
